Down On The Bayou

Here is Evan and Richard fishing off the dock of the cabin in the Gulf Of Mexico.  Evan could not get enough fishing in.  He stayed up till about      3 a.m. fishing the first night there and when no one was fishing he was either out on the dock fishing or wanting to like the second day while the boat was in repair most of the day.  However on the third day, Saturday, the boat was all ready.  So Richard, Evan and two brethren from the ward went out all day while I stayed behind for peace, pictures and exploration.

Fixing the boat payed off.  Look at this 24 inch trout that Richard caught Saturday evening.  They don't get any bigger than that now do they.  I think Evan got to reel this bad boy in.  Evan is a real trip.  If he is not doing something or have anything to do, believe me, he finds something or some mischief to do.  Like if Evan wasn't fishing, he was shooting anything and everything in or out of the water with his BB Gun.  I have had a lot of fun with the time I have spent with Evan since coming to Texas.  This kid can read and comprehend above most kids his age.  When we have sleep overs I usually have Evan read stories to me so I can fall asleep instead of the other way around.  But what I love most of all about Evan is how much he loves me and how he expresses that love.  Like when he woke me up about 2 hours before I was scheduled to get up so I could brush my teeth when he was brushing his; because we usually brush our teeth together at night.
